Almost everybody who walks past Eftichia's Apartments stops to look at the gardens, admire the flowers or have a picture taken in the gateway. The apartments are just 30 metres from the seashore and surrounded by all manner of fruits, flowers and vines. The views across the Ionian Sea to the mainland are ever changing and you can photograph a different sunset every evening of your holiday. These are apartments to be enjoyed throughout the long Greek holiday season and they are just as enjoyable in October as they are in May. In May, magnificent roses line the pathways and there are new colours and different flowers appearing every week. By October, the smell of fermenting wine pervades the air together with the heady fragrance of 'nightflowers' and the sight of walnuts drying in the sun. The serene atmosphere of the gardens envelops you the minute you walk in.
Facing the sea, the front verandas are cool after a long hot day in the sun. For early or later visitors, the south-facing rear verandas offer sunny seclusion away from the sea breezes. These balconies look out to the mountains and yet more gardens with fruit trees such as bananas, lemons, persimmons and pomegranites. The location is so pleasant that many visitors just stay put and soak up the atmosphere.
Eftichia's family are both genuine and generous and will do anything to make your stay a happy one. There are just two large apartments and both have modern bathrooms and spacious kitchens. Many visitors have been coming back for years. There is a two-bedroom apartment with a double bed and two singles and, upstairs, there is a three-bedroom apartment with four single beds and a double. Cots are also available.
The apartments are ideal for families or groups of friends who want to spend time together and enjoy each other’s company. Roda village is just a short stroll along the seafront. Nearby you will find boats for hire and there are three small shops selling just about everything you need. There is also a small, popular bar if you can't find the energy to walk the five minutes it takes to amble to the village.
