HOW TO GET TO AND FROM CORFU

Charter flights to Corfu from the UK, Germany, Austria, France and other countries throughout Europe are readily available from 1 May thru 31 October. Off season, one can reach Corfu by air on regularly scheduled flights from most European cities to Athens, then a connecting flight to Corfu. There is also regularly scheduled service on Air Berlin from Stanstead to Deusseldorf, where a connecting flight to Corfu is available twice each week on LTU. Starting on the 4 May, 2007, British Air will initiate regularly scheduled service to Corfu from Gatwick.
BY FERRY
The most popular ferry route to Corfu is aboard Minoan Lines and originates daily in Venice. The journey takes approximately twenty-four hours.
HOW TO GET TO AND FROM RODA
BY BUS
From Corfu Town, the Green Bus Line (KTEL) offers service to Roda approximately every two hours from 9:00 in the morning, the last bus leaving Roda at around 5:30 in the afternoon. Price at the time of this writing is 2.60 euros per person, one way.
BY TAXI
Taxis are available at Corfu International Airport, as well as from the taxi queue near the Liston in Corfu Town, or from any point on Corfu by telephone request. BY CAR, MOTER BIKE OR CYCLE
Car, motor bike and cycle hire is available from a variety of companies located at Corfu International Airport, as well as in Corfu Town located along the road directly opposite the New Port (where most ferries dock). CLIMATE

During the summer season, Corfu generally experiences warm to quite hot sunny days, and warm and sometimes breezy evenings.
During May and June, and September and October, the average daily high is between 25 and 30 degrees Celsius; evening temperatures between 15 and 22 degrees Celsius.
Temperatures during the months of July and August can be quite hot with average daily highs of 30 to 35 degrees Celsius; evening temperatures are between 20 to 25 degrees Celsius.
During summer, Corfu experiences very little rain, but during the months of September and October, occasional rainy periods are not uncommon, though temperatures always remain warm during Autumn.

PACKING ADVICE

Roda is a completely casual environment, so you won't be needing your tuxedo or evening gown.
Typical dress is shorts, summer dresses, T-shirts and sandals. If you're coming to Roda in Spring or Fall, you might want to pack a pair of jeans or slacks and a jumper or light jacket.
By all means, don't forget your sunglasses, sunblock, sun hat and swimsuit!. However, if you do forget any of these vital items, don't worry, they are available at any of Roda's mini markets or tourist shops.
