Situated on the beach front in Roda, Pirates Bar is the ideal place for all times of day. If you are on the beach and fancy a thirst-quenching drink and snack, or if you feel like a drink before your evening meal, or if you want a place to end your evening, Pirates is the place for you.
Pirates opened in the summer of 2005. Although the bar has been re-furbished, the building has been in the Banos family for over 100 years. The bar is a mix of old and new, and even though you can still see the old features of the house, it now has a contemporary twist.
Breakfast is served everyday from 9:00 till 1:00. With a choice of our Ultimate English breakfast, Full English breakfast, Vegetarian Full English breakfast and rolls, there is something for everyone. All breakfasts include free re-fills of tea or coffee.
From 12:30 the kitchen serves a wide range of snacks and light meals including rolls and wraps, loaded jacket potatoes, huge beef burgers, homemade pizzas and pastas. We also offer meals such as chicken Kiev, scampi and homemade pies.
Every Sunday a traditional lunch is served from 2:00 till 5:00. The roast dinner offers a choice of two meats, roast potatoes, Yorkshire pudding, cauliflower cheese, 3 seasonal fresh vegetables, stuffing and gravy. Due to the popularity of our traditional Sunday lunch, it is wise to book in advance to avoid disappointment.
After 5:00, Pirates becomes a cocktail and music bar. A relaxing and friendly atmosphere means our bar is for every member of the family. We have a cocktail list containing over 60 drinks including non alcoholic and children's cocktails. Pirates offers all premium drinks and branded spirits, and we also have Mythos, Fosters, John Smith and Strongbow on draught as well as a full range of imported beers and alcopops. The bar is fully air-conditioned with comfy seating, wide screen televisions and a projector screen showing all major sporting events. Every evening there is some form of entertainment, from bingo and quizzes to karaoke and party nights. We also have a Greek night every week with dancing and a fire show.
